Lone Star Story Hour w/Tess

September 5 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm CDT

Free

Join Tess on the first Thursday of each month for a stimulating discussion of a little known person, place or event in Texas history or culture. Reservations required as seating is limited.

September’s feature is Champ d’Asile & Napoleon’s Lost Treasure, which follows pirate Jean Lafitte and a group of French veterans of the Napoleonic Wars who sought to establish a military fort and operation in Spanish Texas with the intent to free the exiled and imprisoned Napoleon. Pirates, lost treasures, hurricanes and Jim Bowie make an appearance in the story!
