Author Skip Rhudy

Author Skip Rhudy will be sharing his new novel, “Under the Gulf Coast Sun” on Friday, June 6th. His wife, Linda Sullivan, will be reading from the book and Rhudy will be singing the novel. “Under the Gulf Coast Sun” follows Kassie Hernandez, a brilliant high school valedictorian with a full ride scholarship in aerospace engineering. She heads to the beach for one last vacation before college. There she finds the surfing, beach life, and partying she loves — but also Connor O’Reilly. The light-hearted narrative develops quickly into conflict and drama, and the infatuated characters have to find a way to make their lives and their love work. Tragedy strikes randomly, with Connor lost at sea, and Kassie realizes that her dream won’t really work without him. Separately they pit themselves against the immense and relentless Gulf to find their way to the whole-heartedness they desire.
