This month's story explores the world of I.C. Eason, dubbed King of the Dog People in the Big Thicket of East Texas, the history and culture of the Dog People, and their fight to save their way of life and the Thicket from Timber and Oil barons. Described as living "100 miles from Houston and 100 years in the past," we'll explore a little known part of Texas life and geography that continues to be threatened today.
