She is an author, producer, and advocate best known as the co-founder (alongside actress Amy Poehler) of Amy Poehler’s Smart Girls, an online community and media platform dedicated to empowering young women. She began her career in television journalism, serving as a producer for Nickelodeon’s Nick News before going on to head the talent department at Saturday Night Live. Her advocacy work with young women has brought her to schools, the United Nations, and the White House.
